Clothing Repair Workshop

UPDATE on days and hours: I have decided to host the workshop every Thursday instead of every odd Thursday. With those added days, I am shortening the hours of the event. It will be from 4pm to 6pm. Drop in at any time during those hours.
The repair workshop is upstairs in the OlyMEGA space.
There are stairs to get to the classroom.

The best way to reduce the need to buy more clothes is to take care of what you have. Come learn how to repair, reenforce and beautify your clothes to give them more life.
Holes in your socks? Darning will strengthen your sole. (Pun intended.)
Rip in your pants? Color match a patch or go wild with a fun pattern.
Popped a seam or tore your coat? Thread and needle are your friends, either using a sewing machine or by hand.
Holes in sweaters and sweatshirts disappear.
I am Teresa and welcome you to bring your clothes that need some extra love. Clothing repair materials and tools are available for use on site.
You can learn:

• Basic Repairs: Techniques to sew on buttons, mend rips and tears, and fix loose hems.
• Creative Patching: Methods for patching worn areas in a way that is both functional and aesthetically pleasing.
• Fabric Knowledge: Understanding different fabric types and the best repair methods for each.
• Tool Use: Proper use of sewing tools like needles, threads, thimbles, scissors, and sewing machines.
