About us
Welcome to Omarchy User Group Zürich, a community for people interested in Omarchy, Linux, Desktop Linux, Desktop customization, open source, programming, and agentic development.
You do not need to be an experienced Linux user -or even have Omarchy installed. Curiosity is enough.
Our first goal is to bring interested people from the Zürich area together and collaboratively shape our events. Members are encouraged to:
- Suggest talks, workshops, and discussion topics
- Demonstrate their Omarchy setups and workflows
- Help newcomers install or customize Omarchy
- Share ideas around Linux, Hyprland, terminals, developer tooling, and AI coding agents
- Volunteer as speakers or co-organizers
- Suggest or provide a suitable venue
Events will generally be held in or around Zürich and primarily in English, with German also welcome.
This is an independent, community-run group. It is not operated by or officially representing Omarchy, the Omacom Foundation, DHH, or 37signals. Events should be open, respectful.
