Hello! My name is Tara. I’m a classically trained ballerina, life-long dancer, and now, Pilates instructor! I’ve always loved dance but in my later years needed some cross training to keep my joints and core strength in good form. This is where Pilates came into my life. At first it was just a means of managing chronic injuries but I was delighted when I found it also boosted my Ballet and overall athletic performance.

I believe Pilates and Ballet are for everyone. While both have reputations shrouded in stereotype- that they’re just for ‘girly girls,’ the thin, the rich, the absurdly flexible- none of these things are innate to these forms. And it’s my personal goal to broaden the demographics of people who feel invited into these spaces. We all deserve to feel comfortable in our bodies; to feel the grace and balance that comes from a strong core and technical training. I want to see more movement spaces with an overt goal of inclusivity. Inclusivity of gender, body shape, physical ability, sexuality, skill level, commitment level, etc. So, I started On Point Dance & Fitness.

I love teaching all levels, but I have a soft spot for absolute beginners. I’m a very warm and bubbly instructor and pride myself in instilling confidence in any student, no matter how hesitant and shy.
