It will be hosted by Syntax Physic Opera (http://physicopera.com/) on 554 South Broadway, Denver. Doors open at 6pm for a 6:30pm start.

Lauren is executive editor at The Coloradoan, a Gannet-owned outlet which takes a platform-specific approach to breaking news.

She will talk about how her award-winning team is embracing new technology within the newsroom, including using analytics to inform stories, and how other journalists can incorporate metrics into their work.

Robert is an associate professor at USC Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism in Los Angeles.

He is an ONA board member, a co-organizer of Hacks/Hackers LA and the co-founder of #wjchat (https://twitter.com/search?q=%23wjchat&src=typd), a weekly Twitter chat for journalists.

Robert will talk about emerging technology for journalists, including experiments in virtual reality storytelling.
