About us
Welcome to Board Silly Refreshed!
Thank you for those of you who have reached out to share your stories of friendship and connection as a result of Board Silly. My calling or purpose to bring people who need people together is not yet fulfilled. Therefore, I have decided to bring Board Silly out of retirement. There will be a bit of retirement refresh (thank you to those who have shared ideas). I am thrilled to begin moving meeples with you all again soon.
NEW TO BOARD SILLY?
The Players
We are an inclusive group of regular and not so regular people who love playing games of all styles and skill levels. We don't take gaming as seriously (most of the time) as that gaming group you went to that one time back in the day. We are teachers, doctors, factory workers, dads, servers, retirees, job seekers, engineers, moms...and now we are all friends and each bringing something pretty cool and different to the game!
The Rules of the Game
You do not need to be a seasoned board gamer or card player. Show up and we will table a game or shuffle some cards that you will have in your Amazon card before you leave.
RSVP for each event and be sure to edit your RSVP if your plans change. This helps the host reserve enough spots when necessary and plan gaming accordingly.
You must be 21+ to join our group and events
All gaming styles welcome - No shaming the guy who strategizes a minute or 10 longer than you.
Be Kind & Respectful -Treat everyone with kindness, even if you’re losing at Monopoly! We’re all here to have fun.
If you plan to eat, please arrive a bit early to do so if possible. This will help keep everyone's greasy little paws off the gaming boards and cards. Please know that many of these games cost many $$$. Be respectful of others property.
Please keep cell phone use to a minimum while playing a game. Your opponents do not want to remind you that it's your turn every round or rehash the last 3 moves. Thank you for this respect!
No Hate, No Harassment - This is an inclusive group. This is a zero tolerance zone for racism, sexism, homophobia, or any form of discrimination.
Keep It Light - Avoid heavy or divisive topics (like politics or religion, your horrible ex) during the event so everyone feels comfortable and included. This isn't a therapy session...it's game night.
Don't be a sore loser or winner. There is going to be a winner and a loser and cheaters never prosper!
Please patronize our host restaurants by ordering food and or beverages and don't forget to tip your servers
