Welcome to our Open Mic Talent Show PLATFORM in Meetup.com! We are guys and girls who love having fun, and presenting creative ideas to an interested audience.
This group is intended to support the local community of Montgomery Texas as well as our close neighboring friends. For this event we operate as a "talent show platform"; A PLACE or venue to perform your well formed creative arts acts for an interested audience!
In the interest of time, there are only a certain number of acts we can take for each show. Right away when you have the idea to be part of it-
FIRST: TEXT MOREE 936-689-6209 at the school and notify them you are thinking about having YOUR ACT on the next roster!!
NEXT, Schedule your time to present your "well formed idea" to be selected for the next show. The idea can be in the infancy stage for approval.
THEN, PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE. 2 weeks before the event we will schedule a final "audition" to see who will make this cycle's Talent Show. If not quite ready, you can catch the next one!!
Again, only a certain number of acts will be selected based on the timing for a one hour show!
Creative Acts are family friendly and come in many art forms:
Live Music acts of numerous types (please no karaoke)
piano, singing-solos, a capella, drums, guitar, Barbershop, cello, sax, harmonica, trumpet....
small music group acts: bluegrass and other
magician acts
Theatrical skits- monologue/ dialogue
creative Movements and dance- Hoola hoop, shuffle dance, salsa
Other small floor dancing…
RAP- clean RAP is good RAP
Poetry reading
Short story telling
These "talent shows" will be held every other month!
