Open and transparent Operations with the SCS Status Page

Operating a cloud is a mission critical task. Customers depend on a fully functioning and performant infrastructure for their applications.

Unfortunatly, incidents happen and infrastructure services might degrate for a short period of time. For that time the customer need to be informed in a easy way. The general approach is a independent status page that shows the health of the platform.

In the context of the Sovereign Cloud Stack (SCS), a new status page application was developed based on current technology and extensibility in mind. It features a standadized API and a microservice approach and can easily rolled out on a standard Kubernetes cluster. In this talk, we will show the current development state as well as the design considerations.
