Welcome to the inaugural Open Screen Santa Cruz!
It's an open mic night for filmmakers! Share your film the way it was intended, projected in a dark room with lively strangers. Whether you sold your home to finance your 35mm feature, or you made it last night in your parents' garage - if your movie (or part thereof) is under 10 minutes, we'll screen it.
We will be starting the event showing the first episode of Videos From the Trash Dimension (a queer anarchic film collective) and then we open the floor up to whoever wants to screen.
Bring your movie that’s less than 10 minutes on a flash drive or harddrive and we will show it!

The event is totally free and first come first served. Bring your friends, and meet local filmmakers!
Screening starts at 7pm, and will end around 9pm. If you are screening, please come by 6:45 to transfer your files!
Depending on the turnout, we plan to do this every third thursday, so help build the community!
Subrosa is a sober community space, afterwards if interested, we can walk down to Neighbors Pub for afters!
