About us

I started this group because I believe the most intimidating part of contributing to open source isn't the code itself, but figuring out where to start and how to navigate the community. Whether you are a seasoned developer looking to give back or someone who has spent weeks staring at a repository feeling overwhelmed, this is a space to bridge that gap. The goal is to create a reliable environment where we can walk through pull requests, discuss project structures, and share the practical lessons that aren't found in tutorials.

Beyond the technical side, I really want this to be a social circle. We meet regularly to discuss our wins and frustrations over coffee or food, making the process of contributing feel a lot less solitary. We do not focus on any one specific language or framework, but rather on the shared experience of learning how to collaborate in public. If you are looking for a consistent group of peers to help you get your first commit merged or to mentor others on their journey, you are welcome here.
