Opendoor is building its engineering team in Miami. This group is where we meet the people doing it.
We ship every week. Decisions get made where the context is highest, which usually means IC engineers. AI isn't a department here, it's how we work.
Working at Opendoor isn't for everyone. We try hard to convince people this job is hard, because it is. The engineers who come anyway tend to be the ones we're looking for.
Miami has world-class engineering talent, and a lot of it is sitting at companies that take a quarter to ship what we ship in a week. This group exists to show what the alternative looks like, technical talks from the people making the calls, unscripted conversations with our leadership, and evenings with the engineers who actually build this thing.
Expect sessions on the technical problems we're solving in Software Engineering, Data and Machine Learning, and Security Engineering: the architecture decisions, the tradeoffs, the things we got wrong and reversed.
Who should join: senior engineers and engineering leaders in South Florida, and anyone building software, teams, or companies here.
