Fireside 305: An Evening with Opendoor Tech Leadership

Opendoor is expanding its engineering team in Miami. On Aug 26 we're taking over The LAB Miami for an evening with the people building it.
We're hosting at The LAB Miami deliberately. Since 2012 The LAB has been a collision point for Miami's builders and one of the reasons this city has a startup tech ecosystem at all. It's the right room for this conversation, and we're grateful to them for opening it up.

What the evening looks like
6:00–7:00 — Social, sign-in, food and drinks
7:00–7:45 — Chat with Kaz, then the tech talk. Kaz Nejatian, our CEO, takes unscripted questions on re-founding and scaling Opendoor. Then Chintan Parikh (Head of Engineering) and Eyal Klein (Head of Data) go into the technical calls behind it, moderated by Renee Mauldin (Chief People Officer).
7:45–9:00 — Q&A and networking with the engineers who ship this every week

Before you register, some things you should know
We ship every week. Decisions get made where the context is highest, which usually means IC engineers. AI isn't a department here — it's how we work. We're in the office five days a week.
Working at Opendoor isn't for everyone, and we try hard to convince people this job is hard. It is. We'd rather you find that out in a room with us than three weeks into a process.
Who should be there
Senior engineers and engineering leaders in South Florida, and anyone seriously building software, teams, or companies here. We're hiring across Software Engineering, Data and Machine Learning, and Security Engineering.
