Fourche Creek cleanup: LOCATION CHANGED for September

Details

This event is held every second Saturday when weather permits and the creek is high enough for boats. (If unsure, text & call Brian at 501-319-4789). The meetup is usually at Benny Craig Park, but for September (9/13) the meetup will be at the boat ramp at Interstate Park. This activity supports efforts by Friends of Fourche Creek, Central Arkansas Master Naturalists and Keep Little Rock Beautiful to remove litter from the otherwise beautiful Fourche Creek.

Kayaks and canoes are shared for participants to pull the litter collected by floating trash booms out of the otherwise beautiful Fourche Creek. If you have a kayak or canoe, bring it if you can. If there aren't enough boat seats for everyone, there's cleanup needed along the creek's shoreline and in the park.

Wear shoes that can get wet. Litter grabbers and trash bags are provided. Bring your own water, snacks, etc. If you have large buckets, containers, laundry baskets to place the trash into, please bring those. Any help you can give is very much appreciated!
