Christmas Caravan

Show up if you can to this wonderful annual event where the Little Rock community comes together to distribute items wanted and needed by low-income individuals/families as well as homeless people. Santa is also there to distribute toys to children in need. Please arrive to the parking lot of St. Mark's Baptist Church at 7:30'ish because we'll need to organize, sort and consolidate items before the distribution begins at 8am. If you'd like to donate items for the event, items can be anything that homeless or low income people would want or need, but the weight and size of each must be small enough to be carried by one person on foot. If you can bring your items in boxes, that will be helpful (we'll be using boxes to sort items). The event also invites participants to bring a new toy, costing at least $10, for Santa's Station. Toy should be wrapped and labeled with the gender and appropriate age for the gift. (It isn't necessary to bring anything to the event except your helping hands though!!) When you arrive, call Dee Dee Moore 501-256-2233 to find our area in the parking lot. Dee Dee's car will have a large box neon green sign on top of it to identify Open Door Outreach.
**Note: If you can't attend the event but have items that you'd like to donate, they can be dropped off at our Holiday Party on 12/16 (see separate event post) or message Dee Dee Moore to coordinate getting them.
