This two-part workshop explores the role of ancestral spirits in healing, karmic clearing, and spiritual guidance within the Afro-Caribbean tradition of the 21 Divisions of Dominican Vudú. Drawing from her lineage-based practice and training across Afro-Caribbean and esoteric traditions, Kaity will guide participants through both the historical foundations of these traditions and practical approaches to engaging ancestral wisdom for personal healing and transformation.
The first portion of the workshop will provide a brief historical overview of Afro- Caribbean spiritual traditions, examining how African diasporic spirituality, Indigenous Caribbean cosmologies, and Catholic mysticism merged throughout the Caribbean to form practices such as Dominican Vudú, Espiritismo, and Sanse. Particular attention will be given to the role of ancestral spirits as healers, guides, and intermediaries who assist in resolving spiritual blockages, clearing karmic burdens, and restoring balance within the individual and the ancestral lineage.
The second portion will focus on working with the Ghedes within the 21 Divisions, emphasizing practices of ancestral healing and spiritual communication. Participants will be introduced to foundational methods of respectful engagement with the ancestral current, including techniques used to open channels of communication through the dream state. The workshop will explore how dreams function as a sacred space where ancestors and guiding spirits can provide insight, healing messages, and spiritual instruction. Throughout the workshop, emphasis will be placed on responsible spiritual practice, cultural respect, and the healing potential of reconnecting with one’s ancestral lineage. Participants will leave with a deeper understanding of Afro- Caribbean ancestral traditions and practical tools for beginning a personal practice centered on ancestral healing, karmic clearing, and dream-based spiritual communication.
Kaity will also be providing 15 minute spirit guide readings & personal veves for participants
This class is not intended to serve as an initiation nor provide any rituals since these systems have their rules and protocols around that. It is only meant to share the basic metaphysics of the tradition and working with ancestral energy within the tradition within a manner that is basic/common knowledge for the public.
