What we’re about
OpenHack Victoria is a casual meetup for programmers of all experience levels. Whether you're an industry veteran or looking for your first job as a software developer, come join us at OpenHack. We're one of the longest continuously running software meetups in Victoria, having started almost ten years ago. We still meet weekly, providing a place for software developers to hang out, hack on side projects, and meet others in the industry.

OpenHack Cowichan Valley
Craig Street Brew Pub, 25 Craig St, Duncan, BC, CAHi everyone,
January can be a quiet month — the holidays are behind us, the days are short, and motivation can feel a bit sluggish. That makes it a great time to reconnect, reset, and get back into the rhythm with our next OpenHack Cowichan Valley meetup.
This is a low-key opportunity to step away from the winter grind, share what you’re working on (or what you’re stuck on), and spend some time with other tech folks from across the Valley.
What’s happening:
• Quick introductions: what you’re building, learning, or wrestling with as the new year gets underway.
• Open discussion around software, tools, frameworks, side projects, and ideas for the year ahead.
• Light refreshments and hot drinks — a warm antidote to the January doldrums.
Whether you’re a seasoned professional, just getting started, or somewhere in between, you’re very welcome. There’s no agenda and no pressure — just good conversation with local developers and tech-minded people.
Please RSVP if you can so we have a sense of numbers.
Looking forward to kicking off the year together and easing back into things with good company and thoughtful tech talk.
Cheers,
OpenHack Cowichan Valley
