About us
OpenHack Victoria is a casual meetup for programmers of all experience levels. Whether you're an industry veteran or looking for your first job as a software developer, come join us at OpenHack. We're one of the longest continuously running software meetups in Victoria, having started almost ten years ago. We still meet weekly, providing a place for software developers to hang out, hack on side projects, and meet others in the industry.

OpenHack Cowichan Valley
Craig Street Brew Pub, 25 Craig St, Duncan, BC, CAOpenHack Cowichan Valley is meeting on May 20th, with a bit of a different theme for the evening.
This session will lean into business, side projects, and early-stage ideas — whether that’s something you’re actively building, thinking about starting, or just curious to explore. What to expect:
- Quick intros: what you’re working on or considering building
- Open discussion around business ideas, SaaS, freelancing, and product direction
- Sharing lessons learned (what’s worked, what hasn’t)
- Light refreshments and good conversation
Whether you’re running a business, exploring a startup idea, freelancing, or just interested in that side of tech, you’re welcome. No pitches required — just a chance to talk through ideas with others who get it.
If you’re planning to attend, please RSVP so we have a sense of numbers.
