What we’re about
This group will organize a wide range of events around [OpenMates.org](https://openmates.org): from talks, to workshops, developer meetups & hackathons and possibly more. Some events will be specifically for experienced software developers, others will be open to everyone, regardless of their experience and background.
About OpenMates:
OpenMates is an soon to be open sourced web app that makes digital team mates accessible to everyone - not just tech enthusiasts. For finding doctor appointments that don’t collide with one’s calendar, summarizing YouTube videos, researching topics on the web, getting career advice and much more. OpenMates digital team mates can use various large language models (similar to ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini), but also use a wide range of apps. And unlike other AI agents software OpenMates actually prioritizes the best possible user experience design and user privacy.
In contrast to others building just another overhyped low quality AI tool that is primarily built to be sold for millions to some investors, or to extract as many data as possible from its users, to sell those data or train new models on user data without their consent.
