Meet Code for Sacramento!
Details
Happy New Year, Sacramento!
At Code for Sacramento, our New Year's resolution is to act as a bridge between government data and services and the citizens who could benefit from them, helping government work for the people, by the people in the 21st century. Yeah, that's what we do every year, but this year we're going to do it even more!
What's your resolution? To use your technical skills to solve community problems? To implement your policy ideas in a cutting edge product? To volunteer your analytical, design, visualization, mapping, or project management skills to improve life in Sacramento, while meeting cool people and learning a few things along the way? Then we'd love to meet you!
Also, we'd love for you to take our membership survey, whether you've attended zero or 100 of our hack nights, or anything in between. Please let us know what you want to see from Code for Sacramento by following this link! (https://codeforsacramento.typeform.com/to/iXiSqh)
Then, come out to our first meetup of the year, where you'll hear from some of our Core Team members about what makes Code for Sacramento such a cool organization, what we've accomplished so far, and our plans for the year. We'll also share the results of our member survey!
THEN, we'll hang out and meet each other, while eating Hot Italian pizza and consuming some refreshing beverages. If you like what you see, then keep coming back and get involved in a project!
Deal? Deal! See you there!
And don't forget to fill out the survey! (https://codeforsacramento.typeform.com/to/iXiSqh)
[ALSO, we're looking for core team members to help us accomplish our goals for the year. Please read this blog post (http://codeforsacramento.org/were-looking-for-leaders/) to find out what we're looking for.]
