MORE DETAILS, PLEASE!
The Toronto Open Government Celebration is an interactive event that will allow Torontonians to not only learn more about Open Government and Open Data, but also engage directly with public servants and community leaders who are changing how government provides services to citizens.
It is taking place during the International Open Government Week, an initiative organized by the Open Government Partnership (of which Canada is Co-Chair) and is dedicated for anyone who believes citizens should play a role in government decision-making.
Doors Open: 5pm
Show begins: 530pm
WHAT TO EXPECT AT THE OPEN GOVERNMENT CELEBRATION
This year we will bring to the audience an Open Government & Open Data Storytelling Battle Royal!
Three Challengers (one from government, one from the technology sector, and one from from civil society) will face-off in a 5-round battle royal where each will tell a story relating to Open Government & Open Data. After each round, the audience will judge who had the best story and by the end of the evening we will declare a winner!
As well, due to their huge success, we will bring back the Open Government and Open Data Family Feud, the the Town Crier Proclamation, and an American Gladiator style Q&A.
