Opportunities to volunteer, have fun, make a difference

The Shepherd Center of Northern Virginia is a non-denominational but faith-affiliated non-profit celebrating 25 years in the community. We are an organization by, with, and for adults aged 50 and better. We provide free transportation, friendly callers, friendly visitors, and handy helpers (minor home and yard work). We offer caregiver support groups, wellness groups, Tai Chi, lunch and learns, and educational opportunities. We are enjoying laughter, connection, and friendships. We are a small staff powered by dedicated volunteers that give rides, help answer phones, work on committees, write grants, and are heroes in the communities we serve. Join us as we endeavor to create a "world without loneliness".
