Join us for the launch of Optable Tech Talks, a new monthly series for Montreal's tech community. We're kicking things off with a hands-on exploration of programming heterogeneous hardware with Mojo, featuring Jérémie Lasalle Ratelle, CTO @ Optable, in collaboration with Lambda Montreal.
The Talk
Mojo is getting buzz for AI, but what else can it do? Jérémie will take a simplified real-world data processing problem as a thought exercise and show how the same algorithm scales from laptop to server CPU to datacenter GPU. We'll explore SIMD that doesn't make you want to cry, discover when different hardware actually wins, and see if Mojo's abstractions hold up beyond the AI hype.
