Buckeye APEX Update Fall 2017

We are long overdue for an meeting of the Central Ohio APEX Community. Our next meetup will occur at the Ohio Technology Consortium on Kenny Road, which is a bit more centrally-located for those of you in Central Ohio.

The agenda:

• APEX Update - Latest news and updates from customers and partners around the globe.

• Creating an Application in Minutes - Two new utilities enable the easy creation of application in minutes. Oracle QuickSQL is a free service from Oracle which converts concise markdown to properly constructed SQL and a complete data model. Application blueprints, currently in preview status on apex.oracle.com, are a precursor to the new Create Application wizard in Application Express 5.2. Using Application blueprints, elegant and powerful features can be added to an APEX application in minutes. This will be a live demonstration of both of these utilities.

• Updates to the Oracle Exadata Express Cloud Service - Since its inception, there have been a number of enhancements to the Exadata Express Cloud Service which are relevant to the APEX community, including updated version of APEX, the ability to define multiple workspaces, an updated console (written in APEX!) and integration with Developer Cloud Service. During this portion of the meeting, you will see a presentation and demonstration of the latest in the Exadata Express service.

• Q&A - We would like to leave some time in the agenda for any questions, announcements, or demonstrations from any of the attendees.
