Mission San Juan Capistrano — Photo & Video Walk

Come join us for a relaxed afternoon of photography, videography, and creative wandering through the beautiful grounds of Mission San Juan Capistrano.

This is a casual social meetup for anyone interested in capturing light, atmosphere, architecture, textures, people, motion, or simply enjoying the experience of creating alongside others. All skill levels are welcome — whether you shoot professionally, casually, or just enjoy taking photos on your phone.

📷 Cameras, phones, mirrorless, DSLR, cinema rigs, film — all welcome.

This is not a formal class or workshop. There’s no pressure to perform, network, or produce “perfect” work. The idea is simply to explore, shoot, chat a little, and enjoy a creative afternoon together.

We’ll begin outside the Mission entrance and wait a few minutes for late arrivals before heading inside. From there, the meetup will flow naturally:

• sometimes we’ll wander together,
• sometimes people may split off briefly to capture their own shots,
• and we’ll regroup organically throughout the afternoon.

Expect a mix of:

• architecture
• low-light interiors
• courtyard scenes
• textures and details
• cinematic moments
• people and atmosphere
• and whatever catches your eye.

Toward the end, anyone interested is welcome to walk over to the bar/lounge at Inn at the Mission San Juan Capistrano for optional drinks/snacks and conversation afterward.

If there’s interest, I’ll also set up a Discord where people can optionally share 3–5 favorite images from the meetup and stay connected for future walks.

A few notes:

• This meetup is free.
• Mission admission is not included (please purchase your own ticket if required).
• No experience necessary.
• Introverts welcome.
• Come for 20 minutes or stay the whole time.
