# Orange County Photo & Video Walks

A relaxed creative meetup group for photographers, videographers, filmmakers, and anyone who enjoys capturing the world around them.

We organize casual photo and video walks throughout Orange County — beaches, missions, piers, downtown areas, parks, night scenes, architecture, industrial spaces, airports, events, and anywhere else that offers interesting light, movement, atmosphere, or storytelling opportunities.

The focus is less on formal instruction and more on:

• exploration
• creativity
• observation
• atmosphere
• meeting fellow creatives
• and simply getting out to make things together.

Most meetups last around 60–90 minutes and are intentionally low pressure. Sometimes we move together as a group, sometimes people split off briefly to capture their own shots, and we naturally regroup throughout the outing. Afterward, anyone interested is usually welcome to grab coffee, drinks, or snacks nearby and continue hanging out.

All skill levels are welcome:

• complete beginners
• experienced professionals

No pressure to network, no pressure to perform, and no expectation that you need expensive gear or technical expertise to join.

While the group is not structured as a class or workshop, people naturally share ideas, techniques, locations, settings, and creative inspiration along the way. The goal is to create a welcoming environment where people can grow creatively through experience and community.

The organizer comes from a professional filmmaking and software background supporting large-scale cinematic productions, but this group is intentionally designed to be approachable, social, and inclusive rather than industry-focused. Whether you work professionally, shoot as a hobby, or just want an excuse to get outside with a camera, you’re welcome here.

We’ll also maintain a Discord (or similar space) where members can optionally:

• share a few favorite images/videos from meetups
• stay connected
• suggest future locations
• and help shape future events.
