Laguna Beach Sunset Photo & Video Walk

Join us for an evening of golden light, ocean views, storefronts, silhouettes, blue hour, and cinematic coastal atmosphere in beautiful Laguna Beach.

This meetup will focus primarily on the main beach area during golden hour and sunset, with opportunities for:

• beach and ocean photography
• cinematic video
• silhouettes and reflections
• motion and waves
• street/storefront photography
• environmental portraits
• low-light and blue hour shooting
• people, atmosphere, and coastal architecture

Laguna is one of those rare locations where great images are almost effortless — especially for phone shooters. Between the coastline, storefronts, alleyways, palm trees, practical lights, and constantly changing light, there’s interesting composition almost everywhere you look.

At 6:30pm, we will meet up at the oft-photographed Lifeguard Tower at main beach (the permanent, white stucco tower on the boardwalk). I am, as always, the bald one with the Sony camera. Around golden hour, we'll wander the beach and surrounding streets together, and naturally regroup throughout the evening as people explore different subjects and styles.

As the sun sets and blue hour settles in, anyone interested is welcome to walk over to Gelato Paradiso before they close at 9pm. It's in Peppertree Lane which is a beautiful little alleyway with lots of character and great nighttime atmosphere for photos and the best gelato in Laguna. Yum!

This is not a formal class or workshop — just a relaxed creative outing with fellow photographers, videographers, and visual storytellers.

A quick note: parking in Laguna can sometimes be challenging, so giving yourself a little extra arrival time is recommended. Sunday evenings are usually more manageable, but arriving early is still a good idea.
