Getting Started in 2014

To kick off the new year right, we'll be enjoying another (reserved) happy hour in January. Drinks are optional, and the fine folks at Sonobi are sponsoring some eats for us at Taps in Winter Park Village. Be ready to discuss any ideas you have for presentations this year and to put your name in the hat for giving one, if you're interested. So far we've discussed such diverse topics as:

• An introduction to Django and Python in general
• Data Mining with Python
• Customizing a Raspberry Pi microcomputer
• ReSTful Web Services with Python
• Command-line tools and Daemons with Python

And there are lots more surfaces to scratch, too: SciPy and NumPy, CPython for writing low-level device interfaces, SQL Alchemy for acceessing databases programmatically. And anything else that YOU can think of...!

So bring them all and lets line up some talks for 2014! Seeya there!
