――――――――――
Coworking & Chat in a nearly 100-year-old nagaya (traditional Osaka row house) in Nishiyodogawa, Osaka.
Bring your laptop or anything you'd like to work on, and chat with others during breaks. Drop in and leave anytime. Japanese and English are both welcome, and it's fine if you're not fluent in either.
■ What is "Mokumoku-kai"?
Our sessions are called "Kominka Mokumoku-kai" (pronounced ko-min-ka mo-ku-mo-ku-kai). A mokumoku-kai is a common style of gathering in Japan where people get together and work quietly on their own tasks. "Mokumoku" describes working silently and steadily, and "kominka" means an old Japanese house. Ours is relaxed: work at your own pace, and chat freely during breaks and lunch.
■ What we do
・Coworking & chat sessions (weekday daytime and weekends, about twice a month)
・Occasional collaborations with local events (e.g. Open Nagaya Osaka)
・Seasonal activities such as hanami or BBQ may be added in the future
■ Who it's for
People who live or work in the Kansai area, regardless of nationality: remote workers, freelancers, students, or anyone who wants a change of scene.
■ Venue
UTAJIMA NOOK, 3-3-43 Utajima, Nishiyodogawa-ku, Osaka
5-minute walk from Exit 4a, Mitejima Station (JR Tozai Line)
