What we’re about
Hello 👋
the web is fascinating and while the web community in Osaka is sparkling, we do feel that there is little opportunity to exchange in english - the language of the web(?). In our meetups we often have presentations by our members on topic which are of their interest:
Wordpress Plugin? Cool thing. Secret for AWS! Certainly. Usability of japanese websites? Yes, please. Typography for Accessibility? Nice. Latest GraphQL framework? Definitely.
We want to organize events with presentations and we welcome anyone to join and present their projects, ideas or new things they learned at the meetup. This meetup could be your opportunity to practice your presentation skills and/or find like-minded friends to exchange about life as web (semi-?) 😉 professional.
Recently, more and more members from Kyoto have a hard time joining us, which is why we recently set up the KWDDM which, same like this here, is organized by volunteers. Any money we collect is just to cover our costs.

See all- LED and Vulnerability DisclosureCybozu Osaka Office, Osaka
The year is starting through in May and we meet for two community presentations.
For this month, Leif−a very experienced hardware engineer−will share his hobby project of controlling LEDs in a way that anyone should be able to follow.
In our second presentation, security specialist Tillmann will be talking about how to disclose security vulnerability that you find in a system and what his experience has been in the past. (→ Thread)

In the #presentation-proposal channel we are happy to hear if you want to hold a presentation/lightning talk or workshop. - Go WorkshopR3 Institute Ltd. (gusuku Ashibinaa OSAKA) , 大阪市
Escape the Sun and touch Go!
After his introduction to Docker we decided that we need a bit more time for his topics and this June we are dedicating an afternoon to Go.
Kinbiko will introduce us to all major parts of the Go programming language. From building to testing. How to best work on a Go project. It is going to be less about the language - you should be somewhat familiar with general programming. Bring your computer and let's try to see together what we can get done.
The workshop will be split into two parts. You may wish to attend just one or both, depending on your familiarity with Go.
13:00~15:00 - The first part will cover go specific issues. If you are familiar with programming, this should help you find your way around and get you to a place where you produce code. Good for people with prior coding experience. If you are familiar with go you may be asked to help out others.
15:00~15:30 - Break.
15:30~17:30 - The second part is more for experienced gophers or programmers, where we'll discuss best practices, show tips on how to refactor code. It is a lot more opinionated. If you just learned Go on the day it might be a bit challenging to follow along, but here too everyone is welcome (you'll probably learn how idiomatic Go is different from your favorite language)The schedule is a rough outline, depending on progress it may shift during the day.
