Osho does not teach any religion and does not belong to any particular religion. What he really teaches is religiousness - the real fragrance of all the flowers of existence, the Buddhas, the mystics and sages that this world has known.
Osho has given thousands of discourses on all the well-known and not so known mystics of the world—from Ashtavakra to Zarathusthra.
Osho is a modern day mystic whose wisdom, clarity and humor have touched the lives of millions of people around the world.
His insights are creating the conducive atmosphere or ‘ Atma-Sphere ” for the emergence of what he calls the ‘New Man’ or Zorba, the Buddha – the combination of celebration, dance and song of Zorba and the silence, stillness and meditation of the Buddha, the meditation of the East and the materialism of the West.
Zorba the Buddha is a totally new human being who is an awakened one, and he is life-affirmative and free.
When someone asked Osho the definition of religion, Osho replied: To be in romance with life is religion.
Osho teaches meditation for our inner transformation. Love and compassion are the natural expression of this transformation. We can meditate with Buddha, dance with Krishna and celebrate our love with Sufis.

Osho On Listening

If you are listening with all kinds of prejudices, that is a wrong way of listening; it is really a way of not listening. You appear to be listening, but you are only hearing not listening. Right listening means you have put aside your mind. It does not mean that you become gullible, that you start believing whatsoever is said to you. It has nothing to do with belief or disbelief. Right listening means, "I am not concerned right now whether to believe or not to believe. There is no question of agreement or disagreement at this moment. I am simply trying to listen to whatsoever it is. Later on I can decide what is right and what is wrong. Later on I can decide whether to follow or not to follow."

And the beauty of right listening is this: truth has a music of its own. If you can listen without prejudice, your heart will say it is true. If it is true, a bell starts ringing in your heart. If it is not true, you remain aloof, unconcerned, indifferent; no bell rings in your heart, no synchronicity happens. That is the quality of truth: if you listen to it with an open heart, it immediately creates a response in your being – your very center is uplifted. You start growing wings; suddenly the whole sky is open.

It is not a question of deciding logically whether what is being said is true or untrue. On the contrary, it is a question of love, not of logic. Truth immediately creates a love in your heart; something is triggered in you in a very mysterious way.

But if you listen wrongly – that is, full of your mind, full of your garbage, full of your knowledge – then you will not allow your heart to respond to the truth. You will miss the tremendous possibility, you will miss the synchronicity. Your heart was ready to respond to truth.... It responds only to truth, remember, it never responds to the untrue. With the untrue it remains utterly silent, unresponsive, unaffected, unstirred. With the truth it starts dancing, it starts singing, as if suddenly the sun has risen and the dark night is no more, the birds are singing and the lotuses are opening – the whole earth is awakened.

A Course in Witnessing: Osho Zen and the Mystery of No-Mind

Online event

O-Meditation Sangha is hosting an Osho discourse, meditation and dialogue.

Osho spent his whole life working to awaken as many individuals as possible through the practice of meditation. In addition to teaching the 112 ancient meditation techniques of the Vigyan Bhairava Tantra, Osho also devised new "active" meditation techniques designed specifically to overcome the complexities and busyness of the modern mind. But Osho has also said that the very core of meditation is witnessing.

In this module we will be exploring Osho Zen and Osho's Witnessing meditation.

"Sitting silently, doing nothing, spring comes and the grass grows by itself." - Basho

We will open the meeting at least 15 minutes before starting time to allow time to settle in and you are welcome to enter at any time.

O-Meditation Sangha is a circle of friends in meditation. It is a group dedicated to exploring the teachings and practice of meditation from all of the Mystics, the ones in whom the greatest transformation has occurred, but especially the modern enlightened Master Osho.

You are welcome to check out our website at https://o-meditation.com/.

Osho has said:

"Real meditation is Zen, Vipassana. Real meditation is nothing but to sit silently, doing nothing. Just doing nothing, sitting silently, that is real meditation. There is no other technique, no technique at all in it. No mantra has to be repeated. No prayer has to be done, no God’s name to be pronounced.

You simply sit . . . but that is the hardest thing to do in the world. Looks so simple!

When I say again and again:

Sitting silently,
Doing nothing,
And the Spring comes
And the grass grows by itself...

You think it is very easy: 'We can sit and the spring will come and the grass will grow by itself.' This is the hardest and the most difficult and the most arduous thing in the world: to sit silently, doing nothing. And this is the greatest meditation. [...]

Real meditation is not a technique. Real meditation is just relaxing, sitting silently, letting it happen, whatsoever it is. Allowing the whole anxiety to come up, to surface. And watching it, watching it. And doing nothing to change it. Witnessing it is real meditation.

In that witnessing your Buddhahood will become more and more powerful. Witnessing is the nourishment for your Buddhahood. And the more powerful your Buddhahood is, the less anxiety there is. The day your Buddhahood is complete, all anxiety is gone."
-Osho, from The Perfect Master, V.1, Discourse #8

Osho Nadabrahma Meditation and Celebration

Online event

A loving invitation to join for One-hour Nadabrahma Meditation online.

The meditations are a playful non-serious gathering of friends coming together and meditating. Usually, the meditations conclude with a Celebration with nice music, songs.

About Nadabrahma Meditation

Osho explains the science behind Nadabrahma Meditation http://oshona.com/meditation/nadabrahma/

A detailed demonstration will be provided but the following two links are helpful -
https://www.osho.com/meditation/active-meditations/nadabrahma-meditation

Nadabrahma is a very healing meditation and a joy to do as a group.

Nadabrahma is the humming meditation – through humming and hand movements, conflicting parts of you start falling in tune, and you bring harmony to your whole being. Then, with body and mind totally together, you “slip out of their hold” and become a witness to both. This watching from the outside is what brings peace, silence, and bliss.

The meditation is to be done with its specific OSHO Nadabrahma Meditation music, which indicates and energetically supports the different stages

A detailed demonstration is provided and we conclude with a short Celebration.

Osho "Let everything arise out of your awareness. And the miracle of awareness is that without your saying anything, without your doing anything, it simply dissolves all that is ugly in you into all that is beautiful.

Awareness is a transforming force. Whatsoever deepens with your awareness is a virtue. Whatsoever disappears with your awareness is sin.

I don’t label any act as sin, virtue, right, wrong – acts don’t have that quality. It is your awareness. Just try it and you will be simply amazed that there are things in you which cannot stand in front of awareness, they simply disappear.

Awareness functions almost like magic.”

Osho on Satsang

Last night someone asked me what satsang was. I answered that satsang meant the company of one’s self, of the truth, and that the truth was not to be found outside. Neither guru, nor teachers, nor shastras can give it to you. It is inside you and if you wish to attain it, seek your own company. Be with yourself. But we are always in the company of someone or other, and never at all on our own.

Eckhart was once sitting all alone under a grove of trees in a lonely field. A friend who was passing by saw him sitting there. He went up to him and said, “I saw you sitting all alone and I thought I would keep you company and so I have come over to join you.” Do you know what Eckhart replied? He said, “I was with myself, but you have come and now I am all alone.”

Are you ever in your own company like this? This is satsang. This is prayer. This is meditation.

When I am all alone within myself and when there is no thought, no thought of anyone, I am in the company of my Self. When the outer world is absent, inside there is the company of one’s Self. In that companionless-ness and solitude, in your pure being the truth is realized because in your innermost being you yourself are that truth.
