Join us for our monthly Poetry/Spoken Word/Music Open Mic. Come on by this month - or any second Friday of the month - and share your latest poetry/spoken word/music projects with a supportive audience.
Bring your talent, your works in progress, and your positive energy to our stage. This event is open to teens and adults near and far. No need to sign up in advance.
Our Open Mics take place the 2nd Friday of every month. Unless otherwise noted, these events are held at Hudson Valley Books for Humanity. $5 cover for audience members.
Co-hosted by Bethany Arts Community, whose programs nurture all forms of art in an inclusive environment.

HOW IT WORKS
Performer sign-up occurs between 7-7:30PM. Performers will be unable to sign-up before 7PM or after 7:30PM. Names will be drawn from a hat at 7:30, just before we begin our program.We accept up to 15 performers per Open Mic, up to 5 minutes each on the mic.
Mics, amp, and sound mixers are available. A keyboard is available with advance notice; please call the store (914-847-0773) or email amy@hvbooksforhumanity.com before 4 PM on the day of the Open Mic with a keyboard request).
“HOW TO ROCK AN OPEN MIC” WORKSHOP
This season, we are delighted to offer a special workshop designed to help you rock your open mic performance. Facilitated by poet James K. Zimmerman, this workshop is offered free of charge to Open Mic attendees. Please be prompt! The session starts at 6:30 PM and wraps by 7:15 PM.OUR COMMUNITY AGREEMENTS
