Evening Hike - Berkeley-Jackson County Park - Elwood NY - 3.5 m

Details
This is one of the greenest trails you'll hike on Long Island this year. It features lush, cavernous foliage, clear winding trails. Hilly in spots, but not too steep.
HIGHLIGHT: A visit to Manor Farm's Bee habitat as well as a few other surprises. About 3.5miles.
Limited parking on Warner but additional parking just south on Fenimore Lane(see map)
When you arrive, look for Greg. I'll be holding my sign-in clipboard standing near my big red GMC Denali pickup truck.
SUGGESTIONS: For this hike, I recommend shorts, leggings or long pants and shoes with good treads, water to keep you hydrated and, if you like, a snack to keep you energized.
ALERT! Since it's officially bug season, insect repellent is recommended and it's a good idea to check yourself for ticks at the end of the hike before you get back into your car or after you get home.
REMINDER: New attendees to my Spring thru Summer hiking season are required to pay a $5.00 semi-annual fee to cover my planning, preparation and Meetup.com's exorbitant fees. This fee will cover you for all future hikes through August 2025.
Generous donations are also greatly appreciated.
Please, if you RSVP, DON'T BE A NO SHOW!
