Happy Spring to all!
This is an easy to moderate approximately 6 mi. hike.
Parking is near 22 Mary Lane in Melville, NY.
Look for me, Greg, holding my sign-in clipboard and standing next to my big red GMC pickup truck.
This well marked, lightly traveled trail is a relatively easy, mostly flat hike. It's both a winding and straight trail through the woods. There are a few points of interest along the way.
ATTENTION: New attendees to my Late Winter to Mid-Summer Hiking Season(2/15 - 8/15/2026) are required to pay a one time semi-annual $5.00 fee to cover my planning, preparation and Meetup.com's exorbitant fees. This fee will cover you for all future hikes through August 15,

SUGGESTIONS:
For this hike, I recommend wearing shorts, leggings or long pants and shoes with good treads. If you like, bring water to keep yourself hydrated and a snack to keep yourself energized
ALERT! Since it's now bug season, insect repellent is recommended. It's also a good idea to check yourself for ticks at the end of the hike, before you get back into your car or after you get home.
