Massapequa Preserve Trail - 10am start

***REMINDER: There is a $5.00 Administrative fee for all unpaid members who would like to attend my Late Summer to Winter session hikes. The fee covers all hikes through February 15th, 2027. This helps pay for my event planning and the fees charged to me by Meetup.com.

Time once again to visit the south side of Nassau County to the popular Massapequa Preserve trail. Total hiking distance is about 5+ miles with a possible option of another mile or so.

DIRECTIONS: You can either follow the map link above or just put "Dek Superstars" into your GPS map and it will take you directly to the parking lot where we meet.

PARKING: We will park in the lot closest to the trail entrance about a quarter mile east of Broadway just north of the Massapequa train station and south of the Dek Superstars hockey rink. Just look for me holding my sign-in clipboard and standing next to my big red GMC Pickup Truck.

We will begin our journey winding our way north on the eastern interior trail. We will skirt past three ponds up to just south of the Southern State Parkway before we return back on the west side trail to our starting point.
