Hike at Muttontown Preserve - 4.5-5.0 miles - Cool Points of Interest

Howdy members! It's been about a year since we last did the "Mutt."
This is a nice trail. It's not very hilly, but may be muddy with some large puddles to navigate around at times. This 4.5-5.0 mile hike will be filled with some very interesting points of interest, including the former fountains, hanging gardens and mansion(sort of) of Albanian leader King Zog.
That should raise your curiosity.
NOTICE: New attendees to my Mid-Summer to Winter hiking season are required to pay a one time semi-annual $5.00 fee to cover my planning, preparation and Meetup.com's exorbitant fees. This fee will cover you for all future hikes through February 2027.

INSTRUCTIONS:
When you arrive, look for Greg. I'll be standing near my big red GMC Denali pickup truck holding my sign-in clipboard.
SUGGESTIONS:
For this hike, I recommend wearing shorts, leggings or long pants and shoes with good treads. Bring water to keep yourself hydrated and, if you like, a snack to keep yourself energized.
ALERT! Since it's still bug season, insect repellent is recommended and it's a good idea to check yourself for ticks at the end of the hike, before you get back into your car or after you get home.
