Blydenburgh Park/Stump "Pond" Hike - 6.75 mi. Smithtown

DIRECTIONS:
Parking Lot is at the Dog Park Area about 1 mile north of the main entrance off 454 Veterans Memorial Hwy in Smithtown.

This is an easy to moderate approximately 6.75 mi. winding wooded trail with many unique points of interest

ATTENTION: New attendees to my Late Mid-Summer to Winter Hiking Season(8/15/26-2/15/2027) are required to pay a one time semi-annual $5.00 fee to cover my planning, preparation and Meetup.com's exorbitant fees. This fee will cover you for all future hikes through February 15, 2027

When you arrive, look for Greg. I'll be standing near my big red GMC pickup truck holding my sign-in clipboard

SUGGESTIONS
For this hike, I recommend wearing shorts, leggings or long pants and shoes with good treads. If you like, bring water to keep yourself hydrated and a snack to keep yourself energized

ALERT! Since it's stll bug season, insect repellent is recommended. It's also a good idea to check yourself for ticks at the end of the hike, before you get back into your car or after you get home
