About us

Welcome to Off the Clock Social Club**!**

Ever feel alone even when you’re surrounded by people? Tired of showing up to an event and struggling to figure out where your group is—or finding that everyone has already broken off into little cliques?

OTC is meant to be different.
Our focus isn’t just on what we’re doing; it’s on the people we’re doing it with. Whether you’re attending your first event or you’ve been with us for a while, our goal is to create a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere where people can meet, talk, laugh, and actually get to know one another.

Our organizers make a point of welcoming new members, introducing themselves, and helping people feel included. You shouldn’t have to already know someone to feel like you belong.
And we like variety! Our events can include coffee meetups, dinners and lunches, concerts, bowling, outdoor activities, volunteering, local attractions, music, dancing, and just about anything else that gives people a reason to get together and enjoy themselves.

There’s enough stress and negativity in everyday life. Off-The Clock is a place to leave some of that at the door, meet some good people, and try something new.
Come join us. We’ll be glad to meet you.

Off the Clock Social Club
Code of Conduct
Updated November 2, 2026

Our Purpose

Off the Clock Social Club exists to help adults meet, socialize, and enjoy activities in a relaxed, welcoming environment.
Our name reflects the opportunity to unwind, enjoy good company, and leave everyday pressures behind. However, a relaxed atmosphere does not mean an absence of standards.
Members should be free to be themselves without making other people feel unwelcome, pressured, or unsafe.

1. Respect for Everyone

  • Treat members, guests, organizers, hosts, and venue staff with courtesy. Disagreements are acceptable; personal attacks, intimidation, bullying, and harassment are not.

  • Discrimination or targeted mistreatment based on personal characteristics or identity is not permitted.

  • Do not turn events into confrontations, recruitment campaigns, or unwanted arguments. Conversation is welcome; pressure and disruption are not.

2. Personal Boundaries and Privacy

  • Respect a person's "no." Unwanted touching, persistent romantic or sexual attention, stalking, or repeated contact after being asked to stop is unacceptable.

  • Ask permission before taking or publicly sharing identifiable photos, recordings, contact details, or personal stories about others.

  • Do not share private organizer discussions, member complaints, or sensitive personal information without a legitimate reason and permission.

3. Event Participation and Safety

  • Honor RSVPs as reasonably possible; update your response or notify the host if plans change. Arrive with reasonable regard for the schedule and other attendees.

  • Follow the host's instructions, venue rules, and applicable laws. Avoid unsafe conduct, disruptive intoxication, and actions that put others at risk.

  • Unless an event states otherwise, each attendee is responsible for personal costs, transportation, and any purchases they choose to make.

4. Inclusion and Practical Accommodations

  • Members may request reasonable adjustments so they can participate.

  • Organizers will consider requests in good faith, taking account of the activity, venue, cost, other participants, and safety.

  • Not every requested change will be possible; communicate limitations respectfully.

5. Standards for Organizers and Event Hosts

  • Lead by example. Apply expectations consistently rather than favoring friends or using organizer status for personal advantage.

  • Organizers may propose and host their own events within agreed group standards. Plan responsibly, communicate clearly, and request help for larger events.

  • Experienced organizers should help newer hosts learn the role. Be transparent with one another about event plans, decisions, concerns, and any group-related spending.

  • Avoid conflicts of interest. Respect confidentiality and do not retaliate against anyone raising a concern in good faith.

6. Reporting Concerns and Responding Fairly

  • A member may bring a concern privately to an event host, an organizer, or the group owner.

  • Complaints should be considered on their merits, with discretion and an opportunity for involved people to respond when practical and safe.

  • Responses should be proportionate to the behavior, its seriousness, and whether it is repeated.

Depending on the circumstances, action may include:

  • A private conversation or reminder of expectations.

  • A documented warning or a temporary restriction on events or membership.

  • Removal from an event or the group for serious or repeated misconduct.

  • An event host may act immediately to stop an unsafe or seriously disruptive situation.

  • The group owner and available organizers should review consequential ongoing restrictions fairly; immediate safety action does not require waiting for that review.

  • Only records reasonably needed to address the concern should be preserved.

7. Publication, Accountability, and Revisions

  • This Code of Conduct establishes the behavioral expectations for members, guests, organizers, and event hosts of Off the Clock Social Club.

  • The code, including the standards for organizers, will remain available to all members.

  • All organizers will be asked to acknowledge it in writing. An organizer unwilling to do so cannot continue in that position.

  • The code may be revised when experience shows a need, with reasons communicated clearly to members.

  • Decisions should be deliberate, consistent, transparent where appropriate, and open to reconsideration when justified.

Our Commitment
Off the Clock Social Club is intended to be a place where people can relax, form friendships, enjoy shared experiences, and feel comfortable participating.
Respect for others, personal responsibility, and fair, consistent leadership are essential to maintaining that environment.
Participation in this group represents an agreement to abide by these standards.
