Our next film - Don't Lets Go to the Dogs Tonight

Details
I loved this book and really want to see how the film version has turned out. (In my experience, the film usually disappoints.) It is set on a white-owned farm in pre-independence Zimbabwe (the late 80s when the country was referred to as Rhodesia). Using the young daughter's perspective, it focuses on the farm owners and their morally complex struggle with keeping the farm going during a war of independence and with the clear prospect of losing their land if the war does not go their way.
We will meet afterwards (site to be determined - likely the Indian restaurant next to the Bytowne) to discuss the film. Apologies to those who won't be able to make it because you're working - this is the last available screening and the only one I can make due to the upcoming long weekend. (You can always read the book :)
