About us
Love skating but have no one to go with?
That's what this group is for.
We'll skate wherever the ice is good. To start, that means indoor public skates at arenas around the city. Once winter hits, we'll move outside to neighbourhood rinks and the Rideau Canal.
No pressure, no skill requirements.
The plan
• Indoor public skates at local arenas
• Outdoor rinks once they're open
• Rideau Canal skates when the Skateway opens
• Food, coffee, or hot chocolate after
• Explore other winter stuff
Good to know
• All levels welcome
• Bring your own skates or rent where you can
• Bring a helmet if you're just starting out
• Indoor skates may have a small drop-in fee
• Dress warm for the outdoor ones
This is a casual social group, not a class or organized program. Everyone takes part at their own risk and follows the rules of whatever venue we’re at.
