Welcome to the Ottawa Sketch club! Bring your sketchbook and drawing supplies (or drawing tablet!) and come doodle while socializing with fellow artists. Or, you can bring your personal art project or comic to work on, and get some extra motivation from drawing in a group setting! Whether you’re a hobbyist sketching for fun or a professional looking to unwind outside of work, all skill levels are welcome.

Sketching at Rice-Mi
Rice-Mi, 149 Kent Street, Ottawa, ON, CABring your sketchbook (or tablet) and drawing supplies and come join our Thursday night sketching group at Rice-Mi, 149 Kent street, downtown Ottawa.
Let’s draw and socialize over a drink or a plate of fried rice! Drop in any time between 6pm and 9pm. All skill levels welcome, whether hobbyist or professional. You can sketch from life, bring a drawing or comic of yours to work on, or just doodle in your notebook while chatting with fellow artists.
I’ve been talking about creating something like a drink and draw or a coffee shop sketching group in Ottawa for a while now, and Rice-Mi was generous enough to give us the opportunity to take over their spacious dining room for the evening. The restaurant is about a 3 minute walk away from Lyon Station and parking in this area should be free after 6pm.
Due to Meetup limitations capping attendees at 10, I may not be able confirm your attendance directly, but the venue can comfortably fit more than 30 people.
