What we’re about

due to COVID we have suspended in-person meetings...if you are interested in making touch quilts on your own and need some supplies feel free to contact me! Joan

Youth, seniors, and all in between are invited to learn how to make items that help seniors who experience anxiety due to dementia. Experienced touch quilt educators will host workshops on Sunday afternoons starting in June. STARTING NOW we are collecting donations to use in our workshops. We are looking for sewing machines in working order, textured fabrics and notions (zippers, snaps, pull chords, tassels, etc...), yarn, ribbons, knitting needles, crochet hooks, looms, and beads. Donations may be delivered or picked up.
NO FEES are required and all materials will be provided; this project is supported by a New Horizons Grant from the Federal Government.
Knitters, sewers, quilters, beaders, macrame, and other craft enthusiasts are welcome to join us. Participation can be limited to one day or continue for several weeks.
We will post specific workshop times and locations soon....meanwhile, please be in touch and add yourself to this group if you wish to stay informed about this project and participate in any way you can!
Thank you!
Joan
