OPEN Summer Community Picnic

The summer sun beckons, and so let's come together for some in-person community, conversation and connection!

Please feel welcome to join us for the first of two OPEN Summer Sojourns

• DATE: Sunday, July 6, 2025
• TIME: 3pm to 6pm
• LOCATION: Strathcona Park (25 Range Road, by the river just off Laurier Avenue East)
• Parking available on the south end parking lot and on the adjacent streets, and the park is accessible by bus (16 or 19); washroom available on premises.
• We will be meeting in the north end of the park closer to the playground and washrooms-- look for the OPEN sign!
• FYI in case of rain, we will send alternative plans to registered attendees closer to the date, as needed
• BYO whatever you need to feel comfortable and nourished. This could include:
• A blanket or chair to sit on
• Your own food and drink (sharing is not discouraged, but optional/ at your discretion)
• And in case we have to say it: PLEASE don't come on anything illegal, or with anything illegal. Thank you for respecting the safety of the OPEN community space!

About OPEN:
The Ottawa Psychedelic Education Network (OPEN) is a safe and supportive community for those interested in psychedelics, entheogens, plant medicines, plant teachers and non-ordinary states of consciousness. Through community engagement and education on the nature of psychedelic experiences as well as the rapidly advancing research into their potential for healing and personal transformation, we hope to break the stigma surrounding psychedelics and those who use them. We take a strong harm-reduction approach, and support the legalization and sensible regulation of psychedelic medicines.
