Join us for a summer afternoon hang in the park!
Please feel welcome to join us for our OPEN Summer Community Picnic, as we come together for some in-person community, conversation and connection.
- DATE: Sunday July 19, 2025
- TIME: 3:00pm to 6:00pm
- LOCATION: Strathcona Park (25 Range Road, by the river just off Laurier Avenue East)
Info:
- Parking available on the south end parking lot and on the adjacent streets, and the park is accessible by bus (16 or 19); washroom available on premises.
- We will be meeting in the north end of the park closer to the playground and washrooms-- look for the OPEN sign!
- FYI in case of rain, we will send alternative plans to registered attendees closer to the date, as needed
- BYO whatever you need to feel comfortable and nourished. This could include: A blanket or chair to sit on; your own food and drink (bringing something to share is optional/ at your discretion)
- BOOK SWAP!: We will have a collection of gently-used psychedelic and related books to browse and take home. Do you have a book ready for its next journey? Bring it along! Donations are welcome but not required. Come discover a new read and help some great books continue their travels
- And in case we have to say it: Please don't come on anything illegal or with anything illegal, etc. See below for more about our community guidelines. Thank you for respecting the safety of the OPEN community space!
