Bike Ride - Edmonds Park / UBC

This is a loop ride with 53 km on paved surfaces and 4 km on hard-packed trails. The route runs west along the Deer Lake Parkway Trail then north to the Central Valley Greenway onto 5th Ave where we stop for coffee at Purebread Bakery. Next we head north to False Creek and follow the Seaside bike route to Jericho Beach, then south to 8th Ave and west again to UBC where we stop for lunch at Bean Around the World. After lunch we cross thru Pacific Spirit Park to 37th Ave and 45th Ave, thru Central Park and onto the BC Parkway Trail back to Edmonds Park.

Difficulty: Moderate if you have been biking regularly.
Distance: 57.3 km
Estimated Ride Time: 5 hrs.

Bring: snacks/water, and pack a Lunch.

Please be sure your bike is in good condition, tires are inflated and brakes are in good working order before arriving at the starting point. Carrying a Repair Kit and an extra inner tube is recommended. To help you to be seen and heard on the road, the following equipment is also recommended: a bell, flashing front and back lights or reflectors and a mirror.
