Bike Ride - Burnaby Lake / Spanish Banks / Granville Bridge

This is a circle route with 60 km paved bikeways and 3.5 km hard packed trails. From Burnaby Lake we head west to Breka Bakery for coffee then continue west past UBC to Spanish Banks where we stop for lunch. After lunch we head east thru Kitsilano and over the Granville St. Bridge and along English Bay, past Lost Lagoon to Science World and on to the CVG and back to Burnaby Lake.

Difficulty: Moderate if you have been biking regularly. There are some hills.

Bring: snacks//water and Pack a Lunch. The concessions at Spanish Banks may be closed.

Please be sure your bike is in good condition, tires are inflated and brakes are in good working order before arriving at the starting point. Carrying a Repair Kit and an extra inner tube is recommended. To help you to be seen and heard on the road, the following equipment is also recommended: a bell, flashing front and back lights or reflectors and a mirror.
