9.5 Mile Northern Dutchman’s Creek and Uwharrie Trail

This is 9.5 mile difficult loop (actually a lollipop) hike at 2-3 mph, with 1,500 to 1,700 ft in elevation gain. The Uwharrie National Recreation Trail and the Dutchman's' Creek Trail offer a variety of scenery, streams and rocky terrain. The Uwharrie Trail is marked with white blazes and the Dutchman's Creek Trail is marked by yellow blazes.

Pack a lunch or snacks and plenty of water. We will stop for lunch and perhaps fire while we stop.

There is a pit toilet at the trailhead.
