KOP Dog days of summer ice cream hike; approx 6.5 miles w/social after

** Note little earlier start time due to ice cream social- 6:00pm SHARP departure**

Mixing things up a little by adding a hike from King of Prussia to the edge of Valley Forge Park. We will take a local unnamed trail through the neighborhood and over to the SRT West Trail that will lead us to the edge of the Valley Forge National Park. We will take a moment to check out the old Port Kennedy Railroad station before making our way back past the starting point and head over to Nor-view Farm for some Petrucci's Ice Cream. I could not find a website for Nor-view as it is now owned by Upper Merion Township. You can Google it and read about it's history and current uses. There is a petting zoo here as well!

Total distance is about 6.5 miles from start to ice cream stop. About another 1/2 mile walk back to car after ice cream indulgence. This hike is not particularly intense as route is mostly flat. Pace will be around 3.2- 3.5. Definitely not a stroll, but you should be able to hold a conversation while getting a nice workout (only to be ruined by ice cream,,,lol)

We do our best to stick together and look out for one another. But if you are really struggling, you will need to find your way back to car.

Gear required: Sneakers are ok for this hike.

Parking: we will meet on the outer edge of the 6 Eleven (not a typo) parking lot located at 216 W. Beidler Rd in King of Prussia. This is where Jasper Rd intersects with Beidler Rd. Park away from the businesses if using the lot. There is free street parking all around here. See Meetup PIN for exact spot.
