Frolicking in Philly social hike with lunch at Reading Terminal

Coming out of the woods this weekend and hitting the streets of Philadelphia for a more social oriented hike. This is a great opportunity for those who have signed up for this group, but have not joined us on our more challenging adventures. So spend the day with great people seeing many of Philly's hot spots including-
Love Park, Rittenhouse Square, Art Museum/Rocky Statue, Barnes Foundation, Basilica of Saints Peter & Paul and more!

We will be stopping at Reading Terminal for food a little before noon. Plan is to pause the hike for 45 minutes so that you can get food of your choice and have time to eat. Last time we all split up to get food and met outside across the street to eat together. It worked out well, even for the pigeons.

Important notes:

1. Although this is a social hike and will be slower then our normal hikes, it is NOT a stroll. We walk about 3 mph (give or take)- basically a pace where we have a nice flow, but you can hold a conversation and have fun along the way.
2. We will keep it moving except for planned stops at points of interest to make it an enjoyable experience.
3. Come with a positive attitude ready to make some new social connections all while enjoying some of what makes Philly special.
4. End time is approximate. You may break off early if needed.

GEAR REQUIRED:
1- Sneakers of for this hike.....all streets and sidewalks.
2- Appropriate clothing for conditions
3- WATER or other source of hydration; snacks as needed

MEETING LOCATION and PARKING: We will be meeting at Lloyd Hall at the end of boat house row, across from the bathrooms. There is free street parking across the street on Sedgley St. DO NOT LEAVE VALUABLES in plain sight in your car!! Also, do not park in lot next to meeting location as there is a 2 hour time limit there.

GUEST and ATTENDANCE POLICY: All attendees must be members of Outdoor Adventure Friends, except for rare occasions. This is for communication purposes to ensure that those in attendance understand exactly what they are signing up for. Please be courteous and change your rsvp in a timely fashion if you can no longer attend an event. Repeated no shows or a history of signing up and dropping off excessively when there is a waitlist will exclude you from being moved off of future waitlists and special events.
