Neversink exploratory escapade 9-10 miles; moderate pace

Description:
This will not be the ordinary gallivanting around Neversink Mountain and may not be for the masses. This special Edventure is at the request of one of our" frequent fliers", AKA PSYCHO HIKER....lol
We will trapise, prance, skip (yes, we have skipped on our hikes), and CLIMB our way around the Neversink Preserve looking for some old ruins, etc. We keep a nice pace and don't stop often. Usually just slight pauses to regroup. There will be some antics along the way, so be prepared.....if you have hiked with me last year after the snakes hibernate, you know what you are in for....:). Fun, challenging and DIFFERENT!

GEAR REQUIRED:
1- Proper footwear- hiking boots or trail runners for hikes in woods;
2- Appropriate clothing for conditions: layers, wind and rain protection based upon forecast.
3- WATER or other source of hydration; food/snacks as needed and suggested for hikes over 8 miles
4- Electrolytes for longer hikes
5- Hiking poles and backpacks as needed.
6- Sunscreen, bug spray and bear spray as desired

WEATHER: Light rain or shine event. Heavy rain or storms cancel.

GUEST and ATTENDANCE POLICY: All attendees must be members of Outdoor Adventure Friends. This is for communication purposes to ensure that those in attendance understand exactly what they are signing up for. Please be courteous and change your rsvp in a timely fashion if you can no longer attend an event. Repeated no shows or a history of signing up and dropping off excessively when there is a waitlist will exclude you from being moved off of future waitlists and special events
