Bike ride - 31 miles on the Perkiomen Trail - 12-15 mph pace

This will be a fun ride along the Perk traveling at a moderate 12-15 mph pace. We'll meet at the large parking lot by Troubles End Brewing @ 9:30am and plan to get on the trail by 10:00am sharp.

Parking: The lot is large with over 200 spaces so parking will not be an issue.

This will be 31 miles total, along the Perkiomen Trail. We will travel from Collegeville heading north on the trail to the beautiful Green Lane Reservoir. There will be some hills at Spring Mountain and Green Lane. Total elevation 1300ft.

We will take a few short breaks and there will be several restroom facilities along our route.

I plan to average 12-15 mph and we will pause to wait for everyone to catch up so we stay together. Please be sure you can maintain this pace so you don't hold the group up.

This is a trail ride. A hybrid, gravel or mountain bike is recommended. The creek trail varies between a paved surface and a pretty smooth mix of packed down pea to walnut size gravel with several slightly rough and several dirt sections. There are a few spots that can be slightly muddy after a rain.

There are rest rooms at the start/end point and several locations along our route. When we return to the Parking Lot, there will be the option to join us for lunch at Troubles End Brewing which is at the north end of the lot.

Helmets are required on my rides. Anyone without a helmet will be removed from the ride. This is non-negotiable.

Please have a spare tube and a flat repair kit for your size tire. Bring water, snack, electrolyte as you see fit.
