7 to 8 Mile Suburban Hike - Moderate / Advanced Level with 600+ ft of Elevation

NOTE THE LOCATION CHANGE
Since the sunset is getting too early (6:45) for our Monday Evening Event to hike for two hours at Valley Forge, we will be doing a fun quick paced suburban hike on the streets (sidewalks) & hills of Roslyn, PA (Abington Township).

We'll get in about 7 - 8 miles and 600 + ft of elevation gain at a decent pace (apprx. 3.3-3.8 mph) Moderate - Advanced level. This week's hike will focus more on DISTANCE and less on elevation. Next week will be more about Elevation. There will only be one or two quick stops.

Please try to be on time as a courtesy to the others.

This hike will be on mostly paved surfaces with about a half mile on a smooth dirt/gravel park trail. It is OK to wear sneakers or trail running shoes.

Definitely recommend hydrating before the hike and bring plenty of water and a snack.

Be prepared to walk fast!

There are street lights, but you may want to bring a flashlight or headlamp as it will be getting dark towards the end of the hike.

Dogs are welcome but must be kept on a static length leash at all times.
